DBCA HAS ISSUED A NO SWIM ALERT AT WEDGE ISLAND
Please be advised that the water around Wedge Island (1km radius) will be closed for swimming due to a decomposing whale carcass.
While it’s not uncommon for sharks to be present off the Western Australian coast the whale carcass could bring extra shark attention, please exercise additional caution.
Signs have been posted for further information.
