Another serious issue facing an isolated community is the ability to be able to control a fire should one threaten the shacks.

The Community once again got together and purchased and built six fire fighting tenders and spread them throughout the community. These fire fighting tenders will fit onto a standard tow ball and can used by anyone in the event of a fire.

A fire safety document has been produced to help prevent fires and to assist the community in the event of a fire. Signs have also been erected in the community to let people know where the tenders are and where to refill them with water. A good piece of mind for all users of the area.
